Both Hexagons are the same size, but with different finish and optics. Elements emit cool to warm white light, and do not have RGB capabilities. The corners on Elements panels can each illumiate individually to create an organic sense of motion, whereas for Shapes the entire panel is illuminated at the same time.

Yes, both Elements and Shapes are designed with Connect+ technology, that allows you to connect them together in one layout. We recommend to use Elements linkers to connect Elements to Shapes. Please note, that you cannot connect Elements with Rhythm Light Panels or Canvas.

Yes, Elements react to your touch, so you can control your lights and interact with them in that way. And yes, Elements react to sound and music with the built-in Rhythm function.

Simply mount your Elements with the included double-sided mounting tape onto any smooth and flat surface. When you mount them, leave the ends of the tape sticking out from the Mounting Plate so you can pull them along the wall later for a safe and easy removal.

Tape is NOT suitable for ceiling installations or textured, porous, or popcorn surfaces (ie. wallpaper or brick walls).

There are multiple ways to control your Elements: Controller (Turn ON/OFF, control brightness, change Scenes, activate Rhythm); with touch; Nanoleaf App for mobile or desktop; voice assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri; Nanoleaf Remote; IFTTT, and more.

Elements are not waterproof, so they cannot be used outdoors and we don’t recommend using them in high humidity environments (like the bathroom or near the sink or stove).

If you or someone at home has a history of epilepsy, please be very cautious using this product (as with any light-emitting device). The Nanoleaf App asks for user confirmation before playing any custom scene with patterns matching known triggers for epilepsy, but this is not a guarantee that this product cannot trigger an epilectic seizure in someone with a history of seizures.
