C$50 OFF Lines 60 Degrees Smarter Kit
Congratulations on becoming an official owner of the Nanoleaf Lines. Remember, you can grow your setup with Expansion Packs to unleash your creativity to the fullest. Thank you for your support, you brighten our day like Nanoleaf brightens the world!
Slow down tiger! Before you mount your Lines onto the wall, design your layout on a flat surface without any connectors and plug it into power to make sure your Lines turns on and is working properly. Make sure your design fits into your space by measuring the width and height of your intended setup. To optimize the wireless connection of your Lines, please refer to Placement Recommendations. You can also use the tools below to help plan out your design!
Explore different Lines layouts with the Layout Assistant and preview them in your room using the AR feature. Download the Nanoleaf App and open the Layout Assistant to get started.
Extend the possibilities of your Nanoleaf Lines even further! Bend around corners, mount the Lines to angled surfaces, maybe even create something a little radical. Each connector's cord bends 360 degrees.
Get inspired by the Nanoleaf community! Check out our Social Media channels to see what other Nanoleaf owners are creating or explore the Nanoleaf Library of layouts here.
Remember to share your designs with us on social media by tagging @nanoleafhome and #nanoleaf. Follow us to stay updated on upcoming giveaways, special promotions, and product updates.
The Nanoleaf Lines should only be installed indoors and on a flat surface that can support the weight of the Lines. Clean your surface to be free of dust, moisture and oil. The included Mounting Tape is NOT recommended for textured, porous surfaces (ie. wallpaper or brick walls), popcorn walls /ceilings, and mirrors. See detailed guide for celing installations here.
Design your layout on a table without any connectors for convenience. Once you are happy with your design, secure your Lines into the mounting connectors with the connector caps.
note: the Controller Cap with buttons can be attached to any Connector.
Plug it into power to make sure your Lines turn on and are working properly.
note: Each standard 42W Power Supply supports up to 18 Lines.
Grab a friend to help with mounting your layout (4.1). For the best results, mount your layout all at once. For larger designs, mount in sections, be sure to mount closed-loop layouts together (triangles, hexagons, etc.). Carefully lift up your Lines layout and peel off the mounting tape covers from the back of the mounting connectors. Press each mounting connectors against the wall for 30 seconds to secure your layout to the wall (4.2)
For a more secure installation, use the included screw mounting solution (screws not included) for your ceiling installs.
note: the included screw mounting solution is designed for SMOOTH surfaces/ceilings only.
Remove the light lines then pull Mounting Connectors off to reveal the Mounting Plates (5.1). Mark the screw holes (5.2) and remove the mounting plate (5.3). See below how to safely remove Mounting Plates. Then drill pilot holes and install anchors. Please proceed with extra caution for hole alignment, large screw mount tolerance offset may lead to disruption of closed loop layout assemblies (5.4). Fasten Mounting Plate to anchors with screws (5.4). Once secured, attach the light lines and Mounting Connectors back onto the Mounting Plate.
Gently snap off the Connector Caps, then gently remove the light lines from the Mounting Connectors (1). Pull the Mounting Connectors perpendicularly away from the attached surface (2). The Mounting Plate will remain on the wall. With one hand on the Mounting Plate, use your other hand to pull the end of tape along the wall until fully removed (3).
note: Do not pull perpendicularly or at any other angle, otherwise you may damage your wall (2).
note: Need more Mounting Tape? Purchase more here.
Embrace your creativity and grow your setup with Expansion Packs.

The following tips can help your Nanoleaf Lines achieve the best wireless range & network reception.
Place your Lines in an open area where there are less obstructions, such as large pieces of furniture or walls.
Avoid placing your Lines behind furniture or inside cabinets.
Don‘t place your Lines in areas surrounded by metal surfaces on three or more sides. This can cause signal issues.
Try to place your Lines at least 25 feet (8 meters) away from any microwave oven, 2.4 GHz cordless phone, Wi-Fi devices, or other source of interference.
Place your Lines as close to your Wi-Fi home router as possible. For best performance, keep the distance below 65 feet (20 meters) and have no more than one wall in between.
You can connect up to 250 Lines in one layout. Each standard 42W PSU supports up to 18 Lines.
If you have more than 18 Lines and/or multiple Power Supplies in your Lines setup, you should try to distribute power supplies across your layout evenly. Activating Power Diagnostic Mode will give you tips on where you can place your power supplies for optimal performance.
If your setup is already optimized, these warnings will not appear and Power Diagnostic Mode will be inaccessible.
