The PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip is not compatible with mobile apps (like the Nanoleaf Mobile App or other smart home ecosystem apps). It is a computer only product, and works on both Mac and Windows computers with the Nanoleaf Desktop App.
Yes, you can cut the Lightstrip to customize the fit for your monitor. Make sure to cut any excess length off the loose end of the Lightstrip, and NOT the end of the Lightstrip connected to the Controller. Carefully cut along any of the trim lines, making sure NOT to cut across the LED lights themselves Note: Once cut, the cut portion of the Lightstrip cannot be reconnected, so double-check your setup and desired length before making any cuts.
No, the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip cannot be extended. We offer a 2.5m/8.2ft length, which we’ve designed to be the ideal size for most monitor setups.
No, the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip is designed exclusively for the Nanoleaf Desktop App and does not support integrations with smart home platforms like Google Home, Apple Home, Alexa or SmartThings.
Yes the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip is compatible with both Mac and Windows.
Yes, they can all be controlled together through the Nanoleaf Desktop App.
Yes, the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip can display colours and Scenes with the Nanoleaf Desktop App, and can also access other Nanoleaf Desktop features like Orchestrator and Scenescapes.
Some streaming services—like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video—may have copyright protection restrictions in place that block any type of screen capture, recording, or mirroring on devices. In these select cases Screen Mirroring is not possible, but outside of these services, any other content that can be displayed on your screen can be mirrored onto your lights.
