Nanoleaf Solar Garden Lights are solar-powered outdoor accent lights designed to enhance gardens, pathways, flower beds, and landscapes. Choose from 10 animated color Scenes, 8 solid RGB colors, or tunable warm and cool white lighting—all without wiring, outlets, or a smart home setup.

How long do the lights stay on at night?

Solar Garden Lights provide approximately 3–6 hours of illumination on a full charge. Runtime varies depending on the selected color or Scene, battery level, and the amount of direct sunlight received throughout the day. Animated color Scenes consume more power than solid colors or white light, and brightness will gradually decrease as the battery level drops.

How long does it take to charge the lights?

A full solar charge takes approximately 6–8 hours of direct sunlight. Charging times may increase on cloudy or overcast days. You can also fully recharge the lights in approximately 4 hours using the built-in USB-C charging port.

Do Solar Garden Lights need direct sunlight?

For the best performance, place the solar panel where it receives 6–8 hours of direct sunlight each day. While the lights can still charge in cloudy or overcast conditions, charging may take longer and nighttime runtime may be reduced. You can also recharge the lights using USB-C whenever needed.

Do I need the Nanoleaf App or a smart home ecosystem?

No. Solar Garden Lights are a non-smart tech product and do not connect to the Nanoleaf App, Matter, or any smart home ecosystem. Control your lights using the included remote or the buttons on the solar panel.

Can I control multiple Solar Garden Lights with one remote?

Yes. One remote can control up to 24 Solar Garden Lights simultaneously. Larger pack sizes may include additional remotes for convenience, but only one remote is required for everyday operation.

How does the timer work?

Using the included remote, you can choose a 4, 6, or 8-hour timer. The timer countdown begins automatically once the lights turn on automatically at dusk—not when the timer button is pressed during the day. Actual runtime will also depend on the available battery level.

Can I leave Solar Garden Lights outside all year?

Yes. Solar Garden Lights are IP65 weatherproof and designed for year-round outdoor use. For the best charging performance, keep the solar panel clean and free from leaves, dirt, snow, or other debris that may block direct sunlight.

Can I use these with older Solar Garden Lights?

Yes. Solar Garden Lights purchased before April 2026 can be used alongside the current version. However, the earlier generation features a different library of animated color Scenes, so animated effects cannot be synchronized between both versions.

Excellent Smart Solar Garden Lights from Nanoleaf

I’ve been really enjoying the Nanoleaf Solar Garden Lights 12-pack and they’ve quickly become one of my favorite outdoor lighting additions. The combination of beautiful light scenes, smart controls, and practical solar + USB-C charging makes them genuinely versatile.
What stands out most is the variety of light scenes — they’re vibrant, well-designed, and perfect for setting different moods around the yard. The ability to create custom zones and set timers has been fantastic for automating everything from evening ambiance to security lighting.
The 12-pack includes six total remotes, which turned out to be a game-changer for convenience. I keep one upstairs, one downstairs, one in the garage, one by the front door, and others in the backyard areas. Being able to make quick adjustments without pulling out my phone every time is surprisingly practical.
Another big plus is the USB-C charging option. In spots that don’t get great solar exposure, I can easily top them up using an Anker portable battery pack (which itself is charged from my Tesla Energy system). It’s a seamless hybrid solution that ensures the lights stay on even during cloudy stretches.
Overall, these are well-built, thoughtfully engineered lights that combine style, smart features, and real-world flexibility. Nanoleaf has done a great job with this product. Highly recommend!

These lights are great

These lights are great. I like the different options for the colors and scenes. The controllers (so far) have worked perfectly and paired to all of the lights easily. Note that the solar panels are pretty big so you will want to factor that into your garden design.

They are brilliant!!!

Absolutely amazing product. Easy to set up and easy to connect multiple lights to 1 controller. Lights are very bright and very sturdy. Nothing about the build feels cheap and is already withstanding some of the harsher weather (heavy wind/rain).

The lights are so nice I love that the setting changes to different colors and sequences. You can make them brighter or dim them. The solar charging is nice and works very well.
