The world’s best golfers are coming back to the Twin Cities to compete July 22-25, 2021 and Nanoleaf smart lights will be lighting up the 3M Science Hub inside the 3M Open Fan Village with their Shapes and Essentials product lines to bring the overarching dome to life.

Fans are welcomed back to Blaine, Minnesota to watch the third 3M Open in person after last year’s PGA TOUR was played without fans in attendance due to the global pandemic. With so much buzz and excitement for this year’s tournament, the presence of fans has an even more impact because the 3M Open is about #GolfThatMatters and giving back to the community. More than just a golf tournament, the 3M Open provides an opportunity to not only witness amazing golf but to also support a greater cause. All proceeds from the event will be donated to local and regional charity partners through the 3M Open Fund to improve lives throughout Minnesota.

The 3M Open is back and brighter than before! Stop by the 3M Science Hub to experience how the same 3M Science helping to bring fans back to the 3M Open is also helping to bring businesses, schools, and more back. As part of this experience, fans will witness how Nanoleaf’s custom light panels react to sound in real-time. Enter a new dimension and see for yourself the astounding 3M logo made up of Nanoleaf Shapes at the center of the dome.

This dazzling smart lighting piece measures 3.8ft tall by 5.9ft wide! Its composition includes all three of the shapes in the Nanoleaf Shapes line – 16 Hexagons, 10 Triangles, and 70 Mini Triangles – making it the ultimate statement piece bringing life to the dome. This 96 piece billboard-sized work of art was made up of various Nanoleaf Smarter Kits and Expansion Packs that can be found on The Nanoleaf Shop.

The smart light panels use Connect+ technology, allowing it to combine different shapes into a stunning light mosaic like the one here. Easily mounted with double-sided tape and simply paired to a device using the intuitive Nanoleaf App, watch how the Nanoleaf Shapes react to touch, dance to the beat of the music, and change colors throughout the tournament week. You’ll want to stop by, take pictures, play touch-reactive games with it, or just simply admire the range of color motions and unique Scenes the light panels have to offer.

The beautifully lit 3M logo isn’t the only place to see the RGB smart lights, however. Four stations in the 3M Science Hub are decorated with Nanoleaf Essentials Lightstrips. These Lightstrips can glow in over 16 million colors and their vibrant tones surround the walls of the dome, providing the perfect colorful backlight.

With Group Scenes, they also have the ability to sync with the colors on Nanoleaf’s Shapes panels and with music. So you can immerse yourself in the ultimate lighting experience while enjoying all the golf action. Come and hang out any time during the day, the built-in Circadian Lighting feature in the Nanoleaf Essentials Lightstrips allow the lights to automatically adjust the color temperature to complement natural daylight to help you recharge your energy level or relax after a long day of events.
