Nanoleaf Skylight is a modular smart ceiling lighting system that combines bright functional illumination with vibrant RGB lighting, tunable white light, and customizable panel layouts. Design a ceiling that's uniquely yours with layouts that can be expanded as your space evolves.

Can I expand my Nanoleaf Skylight layout?

Yes. Start with a Skylight Starter Kit and add Expansion Panels at any time. Skylight supports layouts with up to 99 connected panels, making it easy to create larger and more personalized ceiling designs.

Does Nanoleaf Skylight require hardwiring?

Yes. Nanoleaf Skylight is designed for permanent ceiling installation and must be hardwired to your home's electrical system. If you are unfamiliar with electrical installations, we recommend consulting a qualified electrician. It cannot be plugged into an electrical outlet

Can I use Nanoleaf Skylight with a dimmer switch?

No. Skylight is not compatible with traditional wall dimmer switches. Brightness can be adjusted using the Nanoleaf App, supported voice assistants, or compatible smart home ecosystems.

How many electrical contacts do I need to power my Nanoleaf Skylight?

Only one. The main controller panel will be hardwired using power lines on your ceiling. The other panels are connected to the controller using power wires and communication wires. The power wires are AC powered so it is recommended to do the entire installation with the power cut-off on the breaker.

Which smart home platforms does Nanoleaf Skylight work with?

Nanoleaf Skylight works with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. It can also be controlled through the Nanoleaf App on iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.

What is the default power configuration for Nanoleaf Skylight?

When you turn on your Skylight via a manual light switch, it will automatically default to a Warm White at 100% Brightness. This can be changed and customised through the Nanoleaf App.

Can Nanoleaf Skylight sync with my music or screen?

Yes. Skylight supports Music Sync and Screen Mirror, allowing your lighting to react to your music, movies, games, and on-screen content for a more immersive experience.

Does Nanoleaf Skylight work with the Sense+ Wireless Switch?

Yes. Pair Skylight with the Nanoleaf Sense+ Wireless Switch for convenient wireless control of your lighting without needing to reach for your phone.

Does Nanoleaf Skylight support Matter?

No. Nanoleaf Skylight does not currently support Matter.

Super easy to install

Super easy to install, and the perfect lighting solution for a multipurpose space. Bright daylight in the kitchen for cooking, followed by the perfect party lighting for when the party (like all good ones) ends up in the kitchen!

Looks Super Cool and functions perfectly

I’ve had the Nanoleaf skylight for months now; what feels like half a year. For me it’s in my bedroom, but I tried to get my dad to get it installed right outside… where it’d be the first thing you’d see when you walk upstairs. I’m imagining something that looks like the sky is shining through the ceiling. I’m 25 and my parents are kinda old-fashioned, so not the biggest fans of smart tech.… Needless to say that didn’t work haha.

But in my bedroom, it looks SICK and is plenty bright. Honestly, the only thing I’d wish is for it to support HomeKit adaptive lighting, so that the color temperature literally changes with the sun during the day. That’d be awesome, but I love what I have now and am super happy with it.

It’s been immensely reliable (I control it through the Apple Home app or Siri) and just great all around.

I remember watching a few videos about this when it was revealed at CES some time ago. I thought it would look really cool and god was I right.

This has nothing to do with the light since controlling it with Apple home and Siri works perfectly, but one nuisance is that the controller Nanoleaf sells for this doesn’t work… well at all at this point. Perhaps I got an early version, but I’m a consumer, not a reviewer, so I still think that shouldn’t have happened. Right now I’m just dealing with the annoyance of using Siri or my phone, but a bunch of Flic Duo devices should be coming soon, and I’m hopeful that’ll solve my problem. Either way, I’ll figure that stuff out. But I love this company, and I LOVE these lights!!!

Easy to install, really bright

Great as a skylight or as a bright light

Great instructions and all parts included. Easy to install (requires a electrician by law). Looks great as a skylight or as a normal ceiling light. Excellent brightness and comes with more smart lighting settings than I use. The plastic light diffuser seems a bit flimsy (I wonder how the plastic diffuser will last before the tabs that hold it in place breaks or the plastic degrades over time?) but it seems to look and work great, so only time will prove its durability. Do I love it? Absolutely! I know Nanoleaf products work so that why I have confidence in their products and haven’t had any problems in last 4 years.
