Nanoleaf Blocks are modular smart wall lights that combine customizable RGB lighting with compatible display and organization accessories, allowing you to create personalized lighting layouts for gaming rooms, entertainment spaces, home offices, and more.
Can I expand my Nanoleaf Blocks setup?
Yes. Start with a Nanoleaf Blocks Starter Kit and expand your design anytime by adding compatible Squares, Small Squares, Textured Squares, Shelves, Pegboards, and Light Pegboards.
Can I connect Nanoleaf Blocks with Nanoleaf Shapes?
Yes. Nanoleaf Blocks and Nanoleaf Shapes can be physically connected using rigid linkers, as they share the same connector type. It is important to note that flex linkers are not compatible between the two systems.
Can I customize the colors and lighting effects?
Yes. Personalize your Blocks with over 16 million colors, dynamic Scenes, Music Sync, Screen Mirror, schedules, and custom lighting effects through the Nanoleaf App.
How do I control Nanoleaf Blocks?
Control your Blocks using the Nanoleaf App, the built-in controller, or compatible voice assistants including Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home. Blocks connects directly to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth—no additional hub is required.
Are Nanoleaf Blocks touch reactive?
No. Unlike Nanoleaf Shapes, Nanoleaf Blocks do not support touch interactions.
How are Nanoleaf Blocks mounted to the wall?
Squares, Small Squares, and Textured Squares can be mounted using the included double-sided mounting tape on smooth, flat surfaces. Shelves and Light Pegboards must be screw-mounted using the included hardware. Adhesive mounting is not recommended for ceilings or textured, porous, or uneven surfaces such as brick, wallpaper, or popcorn ceilings.
How much weight can the Shelves and Pegboards hold?
Each Shelf supports up to 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs), while each Pegboard supports up to 3 kg (6.6 lbs) when properly installed.
Why are Nanoleaf Blocks thicker than Nanoleaf Shapes?
Nanoleaf Blocks are engineered to support modular accessories like Shelves and Pegboards, requiring a thicker construction for added strength, stability, and durability.
Can I use my Nanoleaf Shapes Power Supply or Flex Linkers with Blocks?
No. Nanoleaf Blocks uses a different connection system, so Nanoleaf Shapes Power Supplies and Flex Linkers are not compatible.
