The PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip is not compatible with mobile apps (like the Nanoleaf Mobile App or other smart home ecosystem apps). It is a computer only product, and works on both Mac and Windows computers with the Nanoleaf Desktop App.
You can connect it to any USB-C port on your computer (Windows or Mac) as long as the port supports both data and power. If the port only supports power, it will not work with the Nanoleaf Desktop App.
The lightstrip is 2.5m/8.2ft long, so use that as a reference when designing your setup. Larger, multiple monitor setups may require more than one lightstrip.
Yes, you can cut the Lightstrip to customise the fit for your monitor. Make sure to cut any excess length off the loose end of the Lightstrip, and NOT the end of the Lightstrip connected to the Controller. Carefully cut along any of the trim lines, making sure NOT to cut across the LED lights themselves Note: Once cut, the cut portion of the Lightstrip cannot be reconnected, so double-check your setup and desired length before making any cuts.
No, the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip cannot be extended. We offer a 2.5m/8.2ft length, which we’ve designed to be the ideal size for most monitor setups.

Some streaming services—like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video—may have copyright protection restrictions in place that block any type of screen capture, recording, or mirroring on devices. In these select cases Screen Mirroring is not possible, but outside of these services, any other content that can be displayed on your screen can be mirrored onto your lights.
