Nanoleaf Warranty

Introduction
Nanoleaf products are covered by a Limited Product Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This page explains what is covered, how to submit a warranty claim, warranty periods, and what to expect throughout the warranty process.

1.0 Warranty Periods
Warranty coverage begins on the original date of purchase and remains valid for the applicable warranty period for your product.
Nanoleaf products are covered by a Limited Product Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for the warranty period applicable to the product.
The standard warranty periods are outlined below.

*Certain Wellness products sold in the European Union and United Kingdom are covered by a 2-year Limited Product Warranty. Where applicable law provides a longer mandatory warranty period, your statutory consumer rights will apply.
2.0 Warranty Coverage
2.1 What Is Covered
The Limited Product Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship that occur during normal use within the applicable warranty period.
If your product is determined to be defective and covered under the Limited Product Warranty, Nanoleaf may, at its discretion:
- Replace the defective product with the same or a functionally equivalent product.
- Replace individual components or replacement parts, where appropriate.
- Provide another remedy available under the Limited Product Warranty.
Support for the Nanoleaf App and software is available whether your product is in or out of warranty.
2.2 What's Not Covered
The Limited Product Warranty does not cover damage or issues resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Improper installation or failure to follow product instructions.
- Accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, or acts of nature.
- Damage to paint or installation surfaces.
- Products purchased second-hand or through unauthorized sellers.
- Products used in violation of applicable safety standards or regulations.
The warranty also does not cover removal, reinstallation, or labor costs associated with replacing a product.
3.0 Warranty Eligibility
To qualify for warranty service, your claim must meet the requirements of the Limited Product Warranty.
Generally, this means:
- The product was purchased directly from Nanoleaf or an authorized retailer.
- Proof of purchase can be provided.
- The product is within its applicable warranty period.
- The product has been installed and used according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Products purchased from private sellers or unauthorized marketplaces are considered second-hand and are not eligible for warranty coverage, even if listed as "new."
4.0 How to Submit a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product is covered under the Limited Product Warranty, please submit a warranty claim through Nanoleaf Support or check your eligibility on our Help page.
To help us review your claim as quickly as possible, please provide complete and accurate information when submitting your request.
Depending on the issue, we may ask you to provide:
- Proof of purchase.
- Photos or videos of the product.
- A description of the issue.
- Results of any troubleshooting steps requested by our support team.
Additional information may be requested where necessary to verify warranty eligibility or diagnose the issue.
5.0 Warranty Resolution
Once your warranty claim has been reviewed, Nanoleaf will determine the appropriate resolution in accordance with the Limited Product Warranty.
Where a claim is approved, Nanoleaf may:
- Replace the defective product.
- Replace the defective component or replacement part.
- Provide a functionally equivalent replacement if the original product is no longer available.
For discontinued or End-of-Life products, Nanoleaf reserves the right to substitute the closest comparable product available.
6.0 Shipping for Warranty Claims
In some cases, Nanoleaf may request that a product be returned for inspection, quality assurance, or to help investigate a reported issue before a warranty replacement can be processed.
If a return is required, our Support team will provide you with instructions, including where to send the product and any shipping requirements.
Please note:
- Do not return your product until instructed by Nanoleaf Support.
- Customers outside the United States, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia, or New Zealand may be responsible for any duties or taxes assessed by their local customs authority on warranty replacement shipments.
- If you are located in a remote area, additional shipping arrangements may be required and will be communicated by our Support team.
7.0 Out-of-Warranty & Legacy Products
7.1 Out-of-Warranty Products
If your product is no longer covered by the Limited Product Warranty, replacement parts may be available for purchase for select products.
Availability of replacement parts varies by product and region.
7.2 Legacy & Retired Products
For products covered under the Limited Product Warranty
If your Legacy or Retired product is no longer available, Nanoleaf may, at its discretion, provide the closest comparable replacement product available.
For products no longer covered under the Limited Product Warranty
Replacement parts for Legacy and Retired products may be available for purchase, subject to availability.
8.0 Regional Consumer Rights
This Limited Product Warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies available under applicable consumer protection laws.
Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any statutory rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded. Where local laws provide additional protections or longer mandatory warranty periods, those rights will apply alongside this Limited Product Warranty.
