What's the difference between Nanoleaf 4D V1 & V2?
Nanoleaf 4D V2 builds on the original experience with two major upgrades: enhanced white and color matching accuracy for more precise screen mirroring, and a redesigned ultra-flexible zigzag lightstrip with improved adhesive for an easier, cleaner installation around modern TVs and monitors.
What screen sizes are supported?
Nanoleaf 4D V1 is available in 65" and 85" TV kits. Nanoleaf 4D V2 is designed for TVs and monitors up to 65" and features the new ultra-flexible zigzag lightstrip for easier installation around modern displays.
How does Screen Mirroring work?
The included 4D Camera continuously reads the colors displayed on your TV or monitor and instantly maps them to the lightstrip behind your screen. This creates synchronized lighting that extends the action beyond the display in real time.
What are the different Screen Mirror Modes?
Choose from four immersion levels to match what you're watching. 1D creates adaptive ambient white backlighting, 2D mirrors the dominant screen color, 3D captures the overall color palette across the lightstrip, and 4D delivers the most immersive experience by closely matching colors and movement across your display.
Do I have to use Screen Mirroring all the time?
No. Nanoleaf 4D also works as a standard smart RGB lightstrip with millions of colors, tunable whites, gradients, dynamic Scenes, schedules, and app control—perfect for ambient lighting even when your TV or monitor is off.
What is Sync+?
Sync+ extends the screen mirroring effect beyond the included lightstrip by synchronizing compatible Nanoleaf RGB lights throughout your room. Select which lights to include in the Nanoleaf App to create an even more immersive entertainment setup.
Can I use Nanoleaf 4D with other Nanoleaf lights?
Yes. Sync+ works with compatible Nanoleaf RGB products, allowing you to expand screen mirroring across wall lights, ceiling lights, lamps, lightstrips, and more for a synchronized room-wide lighting experience.
Does the camera record or store video?
No. The camera never records, stores, or uploads video. It only reads color information in real time while Screen Mirroring is active. A magnetic privacy cover is also included so you can cover the camera whenever you choose.
Can I mount the camera above or below my screen?
Yes. The camera can be mounted above or below your TV or monitor. Both positions provide excellent results, although mounting above the screen may offer slightly better color accuracy. If mounting below, avoid placing it where it could be bumped after calibration.
Can I trim the lightstrip?
Yes. Cut only the loose end opposite the power cable to fit your TV or monitor. Nanoleaf 4D automatically remaps the lighting effects to the new length for the best screen mirroring experience.
Lights work amazing. They're not cheap but they look great.
They were easy for me to set up but I'm pretty tech savvy. A couple issues here and there that basic troubleshooting took care of.
Might cause some minor problems for someone less intune with electronics, but overall they're solid.

everything about it was amazing, except for the controller on the shape pack! it died randomly and isn't responding to any command, hard reset or soft reset, no LEDs and it's powered on
